The Promptathon: Turning curiosity about AI into practice
The use of AI was discretionary and fragmented. A competition format made it shared, safe, and useful.
The approach is based on three principles. A prompt library, reusable and shared within the team. Peer groups, whose use cases are challenged by experts and peers. Investment, with new company investments in AI unlocked.
The challenge
Adoption of AI chatbots within procurement remained fragmented and hesitant. Usage was discretionary, with no shared practices and unclear guardrails around clarity, assumptions, or bias.
The EIPM approach
A highly engaging competition format: peer groups shared use cases, while experts and participants challenged one another on clarity, assumptions, and bias. The session concluded with the announcement of the winners and the publication of a shared prompt library for the entire team.
The impact
AI is now adopted in day-to-day work, instead of through isolated experiments. A library of reusable prompts belongs to the procurement community. Confidence is sufficient to unlock new company investments in AI.
