Digital transformation of Procurement: experiment, understand, progress
On December 2, the 5th edition of the #DPS5 barometer (Digital Procurement Survey), organized by the CNA – Conseil National des Achats and InsideBoard AI, brought together nearly 200 procurement decision-makers around the major challenges of digitalization.
On this occasion, Hervé Legenvre, Professor & Director of Research at EIPM, took part in the discussions and shared an insightful and highly pragmatic vision on integrating AI into procurement organizations.
His key message: make AI a lever for sustainable progress.
This involves curiosity, experimentation, and the gradual upskilling of buyers, to better identify when, how, and why these technologies create value.
Hervé notably highlighted: the value of testing and exploring use cases to develop a precise understanding of AI’s contributions, the essential role of critical thinking as a guarantee of responsible and effective adoption, and the importance of knowledge capitalization, with promising initiatives such as providing libraries and shared tools for procurement teams.
All positive signals illustrating a transformation underway, based on the hybridization of technologies, collective intelligence, and continuous learning, fully aligned with the key insights of DPS5 for 2025.
Kudos to the CNA, InsideBoard AI, and all the speakers for the quality of the discussions and the richness of the perspectives.
