Your responsibilities
- Define and implement the purchasing strategy for the categories mechanical, boiler-making, and welded assemblies.
- Identify, consult, and select suppliers based on technical requirements, quality, cost, and lead times.
- Manage tenders and lead commercial and contractual negotiations.
- Ensure order follow-up through to receipt in coordination with technical, quality, and supply chain teams.
- Develop and qualify new suppliers to secure industrial capacity.
- Analyze supplier risks and implement supply security plans.
- Participate in design reviews with the Engineering teams to optimize costs (Design to Cost / Value Analysis).
- Monitor supplier performance (OTD, quality, costs, action plans).
- Participate in supplier audits and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Contribute to market intelligence and the evolution of the supplier panel.
Position based in Orange.
Your profile
- Higher education degree (Master’s level or engineering school with a specialization in purchasing or mechanical engineering).
- 7 to 12 years of experience in industrial purchasing.
- Good understanding of industrial manufacturing processes.
- Experience in a demanding industrial environment (energy, nuclear, aerospace, defense, special machinery, petrochemicals, etc.).
- Proficiency in negotiation and contracting techniques.
- Good knowledge of ERP systems (SAP, IFS, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics…) and office tools.
- Professional English enabling communication with international suppliers.
